The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to modify contract N62645-15-P-3011 by adding an additional Forty-four (44) Endoscopy Camera Heads & Couplers, Model #: 1188. Support for the medical equipment shall include telephone support, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance tasks, and on-site support services for all Government -owned Stryker Endoscopy equipment in the main operating rooms at Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA. All parts, labor, travel. and system updates to hardware and software, shall be included. The equipment will be added to the current period of performance on the contract and subsequent option years which continue services through 7 April 2020.

Stryker, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is the only company with the technical expertise and knowledge to repair this endoscopy equipment. The technology and designs are proprietary to the Stryker Corporation and, in many cases, patented. As such, Stryker will not divulge this information to entities outside its organization. No other vendor besides Stryker is capable of meeting the minimum requirements.


This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures (FAR 13.5). There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811219. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice will need to submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
