The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is seeking information on a commercially available Actuarial Valuation and Projections System for defined benefit pension plans, to be included as part of the development, modernization, enhancement (DME) effort for the Single employer and Multiemployer versions of the Pension Insurance Modeling System (PIMS).


RFI respondents must respond in the form of a Capability Statement or White Paper that addresses: 
1.  Existing product's ability to fulfill the above functionalities;
2.  Company's profile and capability in providing these types of customized solutions, if any; 
3.  Past Performance History in this area of expertise;
4.  Other relevant information that would enhance the staff's understanding of the information submitted.  If all or any portion of the required capabilities can be provided via commercial off the shelf software, please indicate in your response. An invitation to demonstrate the solution may be requested to the companies responding to this RFI.

This RFI is not a solicitation, may be canceled at any time, and may not result in the issuance of an RFP or award of a contract.  This is a Request for Information ONLY and does not constitute a solicitation for proposal or any obligation on behalf of the Government.  A response to this RFI is not an offer and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.

This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes—PBGC is not currently seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the respondent’s expense. All submissions become Government Property and will not be returned. Failure to respond to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any such request is issued.

The information provide will not be used for any purpose other than for market research in determining the proper acquisition strategy and as support in our market research for future potential procurements actions in this service area.
