The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the provision of acid concentrates and bicarbonate mixture for the treatment of hemo-dialysis patients at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners (USMCFP) - Springfield, located in Springfield, Missouri. It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in award of a single indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. Award will be made to the responsible quoter who submits the most advantageous quote to the Government. The contract shall consist of a 12 month base period and the possibility of four 12 month option periods. The estimated quantities for each 12 month period of: Item One: 800, 55 gallon drums (2K+ Acid, Acid Concentrate requirements: Sodium 137mEq/L; Potassium 2.0; Calcium 2.5; Magnesium .75; Acetate 4.0; Chloride 105; Dextrose 2.0g/L; NaCl 263.0g; KCI 6.71g; CaCl 6.24g; MgCl 1.61g; CHCOH 10.8; CHO 90.0g;). Item Two: 150, 55 gallon drums, (3K+ Acid, Acid Concentrate requirements: Sodium 137mEq/L; Potassium 3.0; Calcium 2.5; Magnesium .75; Acetate 4.0; Chloride 106; Dextrose 2.0g/L; NaCl 263.0g; KCI 10.1g; CaCl 6.24g; MgCl 1.61g; CHCOH 10.8; CHO 90.0g;). Item Three: 3,600 bags, (45X Bicarbonate, 12 Treatment Bags. Bicarbonate concentrate requirements: Ionic Composition: Sodium 37mEq/L: Bicarbonate 37mEq/L; Chemical Comp: 7692gm. Sodium bicarbonate, USP). The solicitation will be available on or about January 07, 2015 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of bids is 2:00 p.m. CT on February 05, 2015. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 325412. This requirement will be unrestricted. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov.
