Access Road
Note: mandatory pre-bid meeting 04/09/2010.
The Work under this Contract consists of constructing approximately 1.8 miles of
gravel road. Work items include:
1. Clearing and grubbing existing vegetation along the new road corridor.
2. Excavating and constructing fill to form a new road subgrade along the alignment shown on
the Construction Drawings (Drawings).
3. Procuring, placing and compacting gravel surface course materials to form the finish grade
of the new road.
4. Constructing new approach.
5. Procuring and installing new drainage culverts and rock riprap where shown on the
Drawings.
6. Constructing drainage channels and installing stormwater BMPs.
7. Seeding and fertilizing of all disturbed areas.
8. Installation of gate.
9. Grading and smoothing existing erosion rills and gullies over a 135-acre area.
10. All other work as shown on the Drawings and described in the Special Provisions and
Technical Specifications.
