This request for information (RFI) has been issued to obtain creative ideas for the development of modernized award plaques, trophies, etc., identify costs, and determine potential program parameters so that a request for Quote (RFQ) can be issued.

Background
The United States Marshal Service (USMS) is the nation's oldest and most versatile federal law enforcement agency. Federal Marshals have served the country since 1789 and occupy a uniquely central position in the federal justice system. The USMS is the enforcement arm of the federal courts, involved in virtually every federal law enforcement initiative. USMS duties include protecting the federal judiciary, apprehending federal fugitives, managing and selling seized assets acquired by criminals through illegal activities, housing and transporting federal prisoners, and operating the Witness Security Program.

Once a year, the USMS Office of the Director hosts the Director's Award Ceremony in appreciation and to honor U.S. Marshals, state and distinguished local law enforcement officer who have gone over and above their duties or have encountered grave danger while fulfilling the USMS mission. Awards are presented to law enforcement personnel and to the surviving family members of fallen comrades.
