The association is searching for a website designer to help develop a distinctive website that
contains a purposeful connection between design elements, navigation, and content.
The current website is located at http://www.obiaa.com and offers static information about the association and its services.
Sometimes asking for prices on individual pieces of functionality that you are thinking would be nice (like a wish list) can
help you get more for you dollars by understanding how the costs breakdown.
In approaching the re-design and development of the website, OBIAA is seeking:
1. Proponent must suggest a content management system (CMS) that provides functionality like e-mail
response, surveys, feedback, online forms, blogs, RSS, commenting, easy editing, photo galleries,
shared resources library (PDF, images, etc.), multiple logins at different levels, different types of tracking
and logs, statistic gathering and reporting mechanism, etc. This product must be publically available for
purchase or an Open Source (preferred) solution such as WordPress, Joomla or Drupal. The Proponent
must also advise the Website Redesign Committee of any ongoing charges or licensing fees associated
with the implementation of the chosen CMS solution.
2. Use of Flash is acceptable, but should not impede access to the content.
The content should be presented in such a way as to allow the template to be easily changed. The templates
should be designed to increase search ability on all major search engines that include but not limited to
Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other top-ranking search engines. The redesigned website should be functional in
the latest version of the following browsers:
• Microsoft Internet Explorer
• Mozilla Firefox
• Google Chrome
• Safari
• Opera
3. Re-designing the look and feel of the website working with OBIAA and the Go ON Branding (Branding
Guide available upon request)
4. Re-organizing its content for more effective access to information with additional functionality available
5. Incorporation of the online directory of members; member log-in allowing for changes to addresses, etc.
and the use of online feedback forms
