This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a Two-year (Basic plus one     (1) Option Year) Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract for the repair of the AYQ-10 central fire computer and the ASQ-184 Defensive Management System which provide navigation data, weapons delivery and guidance for the B-52 and B-1 aircraft. The ASQ-184 automatically control jamming functions and dispersal of chaff or flares from the expendable countermeasures system on the B-1. The AYQ-10 is a central fire computer which provides navigation data, weapons delivery and guidance for the B-52. The Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) for both years are fourteen (14) for NSN 1280-01-514-5459AY Part # 754-11100-1; BEQ of twenty-four (24) for NSN 1280-01-512-1505 Part # 214A000-11 and BEQ of four (4) for NSN 1280-01-619-1370 Part # 214A000-15.

The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Lockheed Martin Corporation. (CAGE Code: 03640). However, Interested Party or Person(s) may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal(s). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within the 30 days after issuance of solicitation, or 45 days after the publication date of this synopsis will be considered. OMBUDSMAN: All potential offeror(s) should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serous contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. When appropriate, potential offeror(s) may contact Ombudsman Kim McDonald at 478-222-1088.
