The City currently operates one indoor aquatic facility with another two outdoor facilities being closed for the 2010 summer season. An aquatic facility is where individuals and families
come to participate in healthy aquatic and land based recreation programs and services. An aquatic
facility provides programs and services that improve the quality of life for its users. The aquatic facility
provides youth learn-to-swim classes that develop fundamental skills in personal water safety; stroke
development; endurance; and life skills that create personal growth and confidence in, on and around
water. Aquatic facilities bring neighborhoods and families together to enjoy a fun and safe recreational
activity.
