APPLETON MARINE INC. CROSS DECK WINCHES AND ANCHOR WINDLASS ASSEMBLIES
The United States Coast Guard intends to procure three anchor windlass assemblies and 16 cross deck winches from original equipment manufacturer Appleton Marine, Inc. Parts will stock warehouse for ready-to-issue assemblies to match existing items onboard WLB-225 Class Buoy Tenders.
The United State Coast Guard intends to negotiate solely with Appleton Marine, Inc. in accordance with FAR part 6.3. All work is required to be performed in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) specifications and standards. Technical data, drawings, special tooling/equipment, and software pertaining to the items are proprietary and are not available for release to the public. It is the government's belief that only Appleton Marine, Inc. has the capability to provide these parts. Appleton Marine, Inc. does not currently have any authorized dealers, distributors or repair facilities. However, other potential sources can submit information demonstrating their capabilities to provide genuine OEM parts and OEM authorized services. This information shall include but is not limited to (1) Data that the offered supplies have been satisfactorily provided to the OEM or the Government in the past; and/or (2) a written letter, signed by the OEM that verifies the offeror's capability to access OEM drawings, specifications, and special tools. The Government does not intend to pay for any information that is submitted in response to this notice.
