Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has the requirement to overhaul and refurbish AN/SPS-49 Variable Transformer Assemblies in support of USN Fleet requirements. This requirement is being sole-sourced in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source.
This requirement will be solicited on a sole source basis with Superior Electric Holding Group LLC, One Cowles Road, Plainville, CT, 06062, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This is being sole sourced for the reason that Superior Electric Holding Group LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and owns the drawings and specifications for the AN/SPS-49 Variable Transformer Assemblies. The procedures at FAR Part 13 will be utilized.
