The Department of Veterans Affairs in West Texas VA Healthcare System, TX is posting this combined Synopsis/Solicitation for BIG Riding Lawn Mower through the Contracting Officer in San Antonio, Texas. The government intends to make a contract award to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable vendor that can provide the required items in accordance to the attached documents, as a result of this solicitation for quotes.

This action is a total small business set-aside for service-disabled veteran owned small business (SDVOSB) only. The NAICS is 339112. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate evaluations and award decisions. STATEMENT OF WORK
1. Contract Title. Alaris Server System.
2. Background. The Thomas E Creek Amarillo VA Healthcare System is seeking an Alaris Server System. Server hardware sized to support 4000 PCUs for the Alaris Systems Manager and license. This requirement is being requested due to the facility being moved from VISN 18 to VISN 17 and no longer can access the VISN 18 server. The facility is seeking a turn key solution to implement an onsite server.
3. Scope. The contractor is to provide, install, and set up the Dell Server or equivalent with Alaris Systems Manager software and license. Database migration or creation to be included.
4. Tasks.
The contract shall provide, install, and set up the following brand name or equal equipment:
One (1) Dell Server or equivalent, Running Windows Server 2012 or higher
One (1) Alaris Systems Manager License

The contractor shall provide one (1) day of onsite technical training on the Alaris Systems Manager software to the Biomedical Engineering Department.
Contractor shall provide project management services for the deployment which will include at least one conference call with appropriate VA Medical Center staff to plan the installation, deployment, and training.
5. Performance Monitoring All units purchased will be subject to an incoming inspection by Biomedical Engineering to ensure the units are functional and meet electrical safety standards as defined by the current edition of NFPA 99.
6. Security Requirements. The contractor will be installing equipment in area to be designated by the Biomedical staff.
7. Risk Control. Contractor is responsible for providing all applicable training and protective equipment to protect Contractor s employees from any hazards, including blood borne pathogens, which may be encountered in the performance of this contract.
9. Period of Performance. Contractor will have 180 days from contract award to complete the installation.
10. Delivery Schedule. Contractor will set delivery schedule to ensure that installation can be completed within 180 days from contract award.
