This is Sources Sought announcement only this is not a Request for Quote. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, and the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY anticipate a purchase order for the following:
Air Compressors (2 each) (Mfg: Kaeser Compressors) - Comparable items accepted
Air Compressor 15hp variable speed drive control MFG #: SFC11
Salient Characteristics
Single stage, fluid-injected, rotary screw, air cooled
Electrical Power: 460 V/3-phase/60 Hz
Capacity Minimum 22.0 CFM, Maximum 72.0 CFM
Discharge pressure: 125 psig
Drive Motor Horsepower: 15 hp, 91% minimum rated efficiency
Noise level: Not to exceed 68 dB
Automatic tensioning for belt drive
Safety: Include safety pressure relief valves, emergency stop button, fluid level sight glass, safety door interlock switch
Compressor shall be mounted on solid base frame with anti-vibration mounts and a solid steel floor
PLC based control system, monitor emergency stop, motor overloads, direction of rotation, discharge temperature, cabinet temp, service hours and back pressure
Variable speed drive to include soft-start, able to adjust air output to maintain system pressure within a 2 psig tolerance
Warranty: Twelve months parts and labor for compressor package, motor, VFD and controls

This procurement is for new items only; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All equipment must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. FOB Destination required
