AIM-9M/AIM-120 Launcher Power Supply Eng Support
Both AIM-9 and AIM-120 launcher supplies are covered by this effort. The AIM-9 supplies are used in the LAU-105 and 16S210 and the AIM-120 supplies are used for AIM-9 carry/launch on LAU-127/128/129 launchers. These launchers carry the AIM-9 missile on many US and FMS aircraft throughout the world. There are at least ten different variants of the AIM-9 launcher power supply and at least seventeen different variants of the AIM-120 power supplies. Since many of these items are built to specification vs. build to print, there are distinct configuration differences resulting in subtle operational and testing nuances between the various power supplies. The power supplies are tested/repaired at the Robins AFB repair depot using the LPSTS. The power supplies and associated launchers are tested in the field using SST and PATS-70A test sets. In order to provide required support, a contractor must have engineering expertise and practical experience working on the various power supply configurations, associated missile/launcher integration, and all of the field/depot testers currently in use.
