AFGSC MODULAR RANGE SYSTEMS
The contractor shall provide three (3) twelve (12) lane 7.62 ball munition rated 25 meter modular, transportable, reconfigurable small arms training ranges. Each must equal a 25-meter shooting distance capable of supporting live fire with weapons up to (and including) 7.62 ball munitions and frangible (as well as shotguns) for weapon qualification and training. The modular range system shall be designed to retain full structural integrity to support all ballistic treatments, ventilation equipment, and accessories and must maintain 100% full ballistics (projectile and ricochets)containment to allow for placement at a zero surface danger zone (SDZ) site. Containment integrity shall be coordinated with the design and installation of ventilation systems, environmental control systems, noise reduction controls, ballistic criteria, entry/exit controls and general construction. The modular range system shall be designed and constructed with interior walls and a bullet trap to eliminate the possibility of projectiles from ricocheting toward the firing line and shooters.
The contractor shall provide general on-call maintenance and sustainment for the units at each location. Service and sustainment should include but are not limited to cleaning and servicing the modular range system and subsystems according to the manufacturer requirements. The service and maintenance plan shall include replacing and providing all consumables needed for continuous operation of the system.
The contractor will complete ground preparation, installation and end user training at each location.
