The Naval Air Systems Command has a requirement to procure Hardware Depot kits for the Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar.  These kits will increase the processing capability of the AESA Radar.  The kits will support the General Purpose Processor 3 (GPP3) Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6381 for Recurring Engineering (RE), ECP 6346 RE, which supports the incorporation of the Waveform Generator (WFG) Module, and kits to support 5th & 6th Channel Wiring and Hardware, ECP 6344 RE, which supports the incorporation of wiring, receiver modules, and Pre-Processor Modules (PPM). The GPP module supports additional capability requirements to the AN/APG-79 AESA Radar for the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft. The new Waveform Generator configuration provides additional growth potential capabilities for possible future Engineering Change Proposals on the F/A-18.
The Navy intends to negotiate the effort as a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) effort with Raytheon Company, El Segundo, CA.  Award of the contract will be made with authority under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. As the prime contractor for the AN/APG-65 and -73 RADARs, Raytheon has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement within program cost and schedule constraints. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. No phone calls will be accepted. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DoD activity. A determination not to compete this proposed effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. For small business or subcontracting opportunities, contact Benita Fortner, the Raytheon Corporate Liaison Officer Representative at (781) 522-6337.  You may also contact Raytheon Supplier Diversity at (310) 616-1683.  See Numbered Note 22.
