The Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency- Aviation proposes to acquire on a firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract with a minimum quantity of eight (8) each and maximum quantity of 24 each of an Adapter, Torque Reaction, NSN: 4920-01-130-1462, Part Number: 145G0037-1 applicable to the A-BK CH-47 CHINOOK weapon system.
Production Lead Time (PLT) without First Article Testing is 407 days after contract award (DACA) with deliveries to Texarkana, TX 75507-5000.

The data needed to acquire this part competitively is not physically available, it cannot be obtained economically, nor is it possible to draft adequate specifications or any other adequate, economical description of the material for a competitive solicitation. As a result, this acquisition is currently being procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website: http://amcomdmz.redstone.army.mil/casl_cmo/casldba.casl_cmo_samsar then click on AMCOM Spare Parts Manufacturer or Distributor SAR. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the Agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release for solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the date stated above. Foreign Firms are reminded that all requests for solicitation must be processed through their respective embassies.


The FedBizOpps.gov website will be used to issue the solicitation, amendments or any other information concerning the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about July 7, 2018.


The anticipated award date is on or about November 1, 2018.
