ADAL Heated Vehicle Parking Facility, Bld 6252

The 176th Air Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK, intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single firm- fixed-price contract for the Add/Alter Heated Vehicle Parking Facility, Bldg 6252 at the 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK. Work consists of constructing 2 man doors with canopies, installing fire suppression, seal/epoxy coat/paint striping of bay floor, and construction of paved parking and turnaround strip at Bldg. 6252. A complete engineering design has been performed by a qualified Architect-Engineer (A-E) firm for this requirement.
The magnitude of the project is between $150,000 - $500,000
A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the offer is required.
The total Construction duration is anticipated to be 220 calendar days after notice to proceed.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236220 Commercial and Building Construction. This is a total small business set- aside. The small business size standard is $36.5 million average annual revenue. Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b) (4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project.
The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on or about 1 November 2017.
The tentative date for an organized site visit is 7 November 2017 at the Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK. The meeting location and time is to be determined. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow base access requirements shown in the solicitation.
The solicitation closing date is scheduled for on-or-about 4 December 2017. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation.
