This Request for Proposal encompasses a turnkey project to provide the County with a new 800
MHz digital simulcast trunked radio network. This network must be compliant with the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Project-25 Phase I & II standards and capable of meeting current and future communication needs, both reliably and functionally. County-wide public safety and public service agencies are utilizing County’s shared 800MHz 20-channel simulcast trunked radio system that, while conforming to APCO Project-16 functionality objectives, is of a proprietary analog technology that is incompatible with other vendor radio solutions.
