The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA requires installation of overhead door alarms. The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required for the installation of top door alarms. This work will take place on the Mental Health area on the 9th floor, seclusion room, and one bathroom in the ER area of the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Facility. The alarm system must be installed by a certified over the door alarm system installer. The contractor shall perform the work in accordance with the plans, drawings, and specifications for the project. Project Number 693-19-124. The magnitude of this VA construction project is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. Period of Performance will be approximately 90 calendar days after issuance of a Notice to Proceed. All work on this project must be accomplished between 8 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday excluding national holidays.

Set-Aside Information: This solicitation is to be issued as a 100% service-disabled veteran small business set aside (SDVOSB). The firm must be small business under relevant North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code and the must be registered and current in the following websites: www.sam.gov and www.vetbiz.gov . Offerors must ensure registrations in these websites are not expired and are correct, current, and valid.

The NAICS code for this project is 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other, and the small business size standard is $15.0 Million.

A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held within two weeks after issuance of the solicitation. The exact date/time/location of the conference will be specified in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted at the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) on or about July 20, 2019.
