CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: 664-19-320, Six (6) Operating rooms (OR) located at the 5th floor west wing of building #1 on the existing VA San Diego Medical Center 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161. The requirement is for the removal and replacement of existing flooring system and repair and seal the walls of 6 ORs. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the completion of work. The Government will not reimburse the firm for their proposal preparation cost. Due to the Operating Room schedule sensitivity, there won t be a site visit, but pictures will be provided as attachments to the solicitation.

The San Diego VA Medical Center requires services to include but not limited to all tools, labor, materials, and supervision necessary to do all applicable demolition, new construction, hazardous material abatement and any other necessary work for project 664-19-320 OR Flooring and Wall repairs.

This construction project will be solicited as a Total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS code) for this procurement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Small Business concerns for this NAICS code have a size standard of $36.5M. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed construction contract.
The anticipated Range of Magnitude for this project, in accordance with VAAR 836.204(f) is projected to be:
Between $250,000 and $500,000.
It is anticipated that a Solicitation will be issued in July 2019.
