The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a contract for a project titled Replace Building 100 and 101 Flooring . Any acquisition that follows this pre-solicitation notice will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14 Sealed Bidding and Part 36 - Construction and A-E Contracting, and other applicable regulations. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to repair and replace flooring on four floors of Buildings 100 and 101. Location will be at VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. The period of performance should be 480 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed.

Magnitude of construction is expected to between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS code for this acquisition is 238330 Flooring Contractors, with small business size standard of $15 Million.

The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about May 24, 2019 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available all documents for bidding purposes will be posted at this website for download. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of bids. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement.
