Statement of Work
Research Door Hardware
Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System
New Orleans, LA

Purpose
1.1 The overall purpose is to provide a state-of-the-art security system that generates permanent, dated records with identification of persons entering the Research laboratories and times of entry at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS), 2400 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119. This purpose will fulfill a national requirement for VA Research Facilities.

Scope
The Contractor shall provide the door hardware for the Research facility at 2400 Canal.
All Equipment must interface with the existing doors.
All equipment must interface with the existing security hardware currently in place in the medical center.
Salient Characteristics

2.3.1 Suggested Manufacturer Brand Name: Assa Abloy Access 800 AC2 System
Integrate with existing door infrastructure and hardware: ML20800 AC2 Mortise
Include hardware and software to allow users to provision user access and run reports on access
Equivalent to Assa Abloy Access 800 AC2 system
Ability to utilize one or two factor authentications using a PIN code keypad entry or 125 kHz Wiegand-format HID prox cards

Delivery
Contractor shall deliver all equipment to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System, 2400 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119.
Deliver materials to job in manufacturer's original sealed containers with brand name marked thereon.
Package to prevent damage or deterioration during shipment, handling, and storage.
Maintain protective covering in place and in good repair until delivery is necessary.

Warranty
The Contractor shall provide
Manufacturer s one-year warranty on parts


Inspection and Acceptance:
The Contractor shall conduct a joint inspection with the COR upon delivery of equipment.
Contractor shall provide dates of completion of punch list items and replacement parts and/or short ship items from the manufacturer(s).
The COR shall ensure all work is completed satisfactorily prior to acceptance. Disputes shall be resolved by the Contracting Officer.

Protection of Property
Contractor shall protect all items from damage. The Contractor shall take precaution against damage to the building(s), grounds and furnishings. The Contractor shall repair or replace any items related to building(s) or grounds damaged accidentally or on purpose due to actions by the Contractor.

General
Contractors, contractor personnel, subcontractors, and subcontractor personnel shall be subject to the same Federal laws, regulations, standards, and VA Directives and Handbooks as VA and VA personnel regarding information and information system security.
