619A4-17-104 CORRECT BUILDING 120 FCA ELEVATOR DEFICIENCIES
Network Contracting Office 7 intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm-fixed price contract for Project 619A4-17-104, Correct Building 120 FCA Elevator Deficiencies located at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System East 2400 Hospital Road, Tuskegee, AL 36083.
The Contractor shall furnish all management, engineering, supervision, labor, assemblies, transportation, and supplies necessary to replace three (3) elevators at the VAMC Tuskegee, AL. Work is to be constructed from basement (elevator pit) through, first, second, third, fourth and penthouse levels and includes but is not limited to demolition and replacement of entire existing triple elevator system in Building 120. Provide MEP infrastructure and engineered systems, and other work as necessary for a complete and usable elevator system.as indicated in the drawings and specifications. All workmanship shall comply with all applicable codes, specifications, local ordinances, industry standards and utility company regulations.
Period of Performance is 150 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed.
The solicitation, specifications, and drawings will be available at www.fbo.gov. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on this website. All parties must obtain solicitation documents and amendments to the solicitation through FBO. Hard copies will not be mailed. It is the responsibility of all contractors to frequently check the website for all notices, amendments, etc., regarding this solicitation. The Government will not be responsible for any notification not sent or received by the contractor regarding the solicitation.
The contract will be awarded in accordance with the procedures specified in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued as an IFB conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures.
This project is being solicited as a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB). The offerors must be listed in the Vendor Information Pages at www.vetbiz.gov at the time bids are received.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15.0 million.
The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.
The formal solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about December 24, 2018. Telephone calls will not be accepted.
