PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE
SOLICITATION # VA69D-17-B-0457


Pre-solicitation announcement for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Michigan is hereby issued. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 01 February 2017 for a Firm Fixed Priced, HVAC project for a period of one hundred and eighty calendar days. NAIC Code 238220 $15M applies. The contractor shall provide labor, materials, work equipment qualified supervision for the Upgrade AHU4 for Pharmacy project; VA project number 585-16-103. The project includes the replacement of the existing AHU, related piping, ductwork, and return ductwork that serves the Pharmacy department. Reference construction drawings and specifications prepared by MEP and Associates, Inc. Project duration is 180 days following Notice to Proceed.

In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), this procurement is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms (SDVOSB). In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), the SDVOSB must verified in http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov to be eligible for award. Firms must also have current registrations with SAM (System for Award Management) at http://www.sam.gov and VETS 100 at https://www.dol.gov/vets/vets4212.htm .

The solicitation will be issued on/about 01 February with the bid opening on or about 03 March 2017. Dissemination of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. Interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. By registering to "Receive Notification", you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of bids.

In accordance with 52.236-3 Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work Alternate I (FEB 1995), an organized site visit will be conducted. PRIME CONTRACTORS AND THEIR SUBCONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
