The intent of this Request for Information is to establish sources to define the procurement strategy (e.g set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation that VA intends to post in the near future. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following:

If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response.

Please respond to this RFI if you can provide supplies that can be determined EQUIVALENT to the products listed in the table in the background section above. Please provide details on the proposed EQUIVALENT products such as Manufacturer Name, Part Number, and Description.

If you have an existing GSA or VA, Federal Supply Schedule contract, please include the contract details in your response.

Please note that VA is particularly interested in determining the availability of Small Business Manufacturers. If your company is a small business manufacturer of similar items, please respond to this RFI.

Statement of Work for
EVOS M5000 Imaging System Acquisition


1.1 Purpose

The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to obtain the autoMACSB. Pro Separator - PN 160-001-254. This equipment will be used by Dr. Kheradmand s lab to perform scientific experiments.

1.2 Scope of Work

The vendor will deliver the autoMACSB. Pro Separator - PN 160-001-254 and accessories as listed in the quote.

1.3 Risk to the Government

There is minimal risk to the government. Utilization of this system for research purposes presents no more than minimal risk to study participants and study staff will be properly trained on the administration of tests and equipment use.

1.4 Reporting Requirements

Any related problems with the purchase of the autoMACSB. Pro Separator - PN 160-001-254 equipment will be addressed by the Research office.

1.6 Contract Security

This equipment will be a standalone device. It will not be hooked up to the VA network. It will be housed at Dr. Kheradmand s lab located @ MEDVAMC s affiliate, Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Kheradmand has an offsite waiver for her research project. This device will be used for animal research. It does NOT capture, store, or disseminate patient information (i.e. name, SSN, etc.).
