INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract using DESIGN-BUILD selection procedures for a site preparation for the installation of SPECT/CT (Room 2C-118) of Building 3, West Roxbury Division, Boston Veteran Administration Medical Center (VAMC).
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project will provide construction of utility services and finishes necessary in the designated locations to allow for the installation of 2 x Siemens Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT by the VA Equipment Contractor. The work shall include, but not limited to, all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment and permits necessary to provide for the extension of the room, removal of the existing flooring, ceiling, sinks, casework, doors and installation of new flooring, ceiling, casework, doors, sinks, lighting, painting and relocation of electrical work.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 15, 19, and 36 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Proposals received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about June 21, 2019. The period of performance is approximately 310 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
