The Alexandria VA HealthCare System Medical Center in Pineville, LA is issuing an Open Market RFQ IAW FAR 13.106 for Purchase of Kawasaki Mules for the Engineering Team. This procurement is conducted under NAICS 333112 Lawn and Garden Equipment Manufacturing.
This is a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. In order to qualify for this set-aside, firms must be registered in the Vendor Information Pages at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ .
Statement of Work/Salient Characteristics:
The personnel and cargo carriers for the Engineering Services Crew at the Alexandria VA HCS facility and are paramount in performing the duties associated with keeping up the facility. The required 15 4-man UTV s are to replace failed electric golf carts. Required work: these vehicles must cross roads, sidewalks, and curbs in all types of weather and conditions. These tasks often require driving over curbs, gravel, muddy fields, and asphalt road/paths while carrying multiple personnel and their required equipment. The Kawasaki Mule 4010 basic model is required due to standardization with current Mules in use.
