457 Deferred Compensation Consulting Service
The City is accepting proposals from qualified independent investment consulting firms with experience in the development of Requests For Proposals for 457 deferred compensation plans.
The consultant will develop a Request For Proposal for recordkeeping services for the City’s 457 deferred compensation plan. The goal is to have the new contract for plan services in place no later than March 31, 2013. Consulting services will include:
1. Consult with City staff regarding needs and objectives.
2. Develop the 457 Plan RFP based on the determined needs and objectives.
3. Respond to RFP questions received from 457 providers.
4. Review the RFP responses and prepare a summary of responses to assist the Board in selection of finalist firms to be interviewed.
5. Travel and participate in the finalist firm interviews with the Board.
6. Participate in contract negotiations with the selected firm.
7. Assist in the implementation of any Plan changes and/or conversions.
