Third Party Tobacco Inspection Contracts
Under the provisions of the Tobacco Control Act (Which amended the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act), FDA has been given the authority to regulate the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of tobacco products to the public health and to reduce tobacco used by minors. The purpose of this contract is to conduct inspections of retailers that sell and advertise regulated tobacco products to determine compliance with these provisions. The Contractor and only subcontracted entity, conducting compliance check inspections under this contract as inspectors of FDA, shall have authority to conduct or facilitate the conduct of the FDA tobacco compliance check inspections. This is a competitive small business set-aside and one contract will be written with the District of Columbia.
The solicitation is attached. Prospective offerors are responsible of down loading the solicitation and attachments. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor the FedBizOppos website for the release of the solicitation and amendments. Hard copies will be provided to individuals eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Rehabilitation Act upon request. Proposals are due February 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm eastern time.
