2017 Toadstool Geologic Park, Little Wolf East, and Hilltop Roads Aggregate Resurfacing

Description:
This contract is for providing the Government with road work as described on the Pine Ridge Ranger District of the Nebraska National Forest and Grasslands.
The scope of the contract is to place specified road base course aggregate on specified roads and provide final blading to a smooth surface. The roads will have been bladed prior to aggregate placement and will not need a pre-blading unless a weather event damages the roadways.
 
Toadstool Geologic Park Road 902 and associated campground loop road are approx. 1.7 miles long by fourteen (14) foot wide. Place three (3) inches (loose depth) of specified road base aggregate along the entire length. Work will begin at the cattle guard just west of the Burlington Santa Fe RR tracks and end within the campground.
 
Little Wolf East Road 723 (Cliffs road) is a fourteen (14) foot wide roadway. Work shall start at MP 0.0 at the cattle guard on the property line just west of Bordeaux Road. Place four (4) inches (loose depth) of aggregate to MP 0.40. From MP 0.40, place two (2) inches (loose depth) of aggregate over existing red aggregate to MP 0.95. From MP 0.95, place four (4) inches (loose depth) of aggregate to MP 1.2 (cattle guard).
 
Hilltop Road 717 is a fourteen (14) foot wide roadway. Work shall start at its' junction with Hwy. 385 (MP 0.00) just south of the Pine Ridge Job Corps and run easterly to MP 0.15 (junction with Job Corps side road to north). Place three (3) inches (loose depth) of aggregate along this section of road. This is designated as Option Item A on the Schedule of Items.
 
Beginning at MP 0.60 of the Hilltop Road 717 (at the cattle guard), the roadway is fourteen (14) foot wide. Place four (4) inches (loose depth) of aggregate for approx. one thousand one hundred (1,100) feet along this section of road. This is designated as Option Item A on the Schedule of Items.
 
Unless otherwise provided, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and incidentals and perform all work required to perform the services in accordance with terms, conditions, specifications, and provisions of this contract. The Contractor is responsible for the placement of proper road work signage while operations are on-going.
 
The Forest Service will set flags for aggregate spread distances based on average tonnage of material the Contractors haul vehicles will use, in agreement with the Contractor.
