1. SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR 200mA LASER CONTROLLER (VESCENT PHOTONICS OR EQUAL TO)
A. INTRODUCTION
1. This is a Sources Sought synopsis being conducted pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research. This is for planning purposes only and there is no solicitation available at this time.
2. This is an initial step in the planning process for the delivery of a 200mA laser controller. The Government is contemplating award of a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order.
3. The 377 MSG/PKB at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, seeks potential sources To provide one (1) brand name or equal to a Vescent Photonics 200mA Laser Controller and accessories as listed below in paragraph D. to include FOB-Destination shipping to Kirtland AFB, NM 87117.
4. Delivery Date: Preferred 30 Day After Receipt of Offer (ARO).
5. The North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 334418, Vescent Photonics, which has a small business size standard of 500 employees.
B. INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All businesses capable of providing this product are invited to respond. Any information provided to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary and the Government will not pay for any information submitted. Respondents are requested to submit capability packages electronically, as described below.

D. 200mA Laser Controller Requirements:
Manufacturer: Vescent Photonics
Requirements for a laser controller system that provides a current source and temperature servo. Any system must meet or exceed these requirements.
1. Laser current source controller
o Two (2) laser current source control systems
o Must provide a current source with a range of at least 0-200 mA
o Must provide a current source noise density < 150 pA/√Hz
o Must provide a current source RMS noise of < 350 nA (10 Hz - 10 MHz)
o Must deliver a current servo input modulation range > ± 8 V
o Must deliver a current servo input bandwidth of at least > 5 MHz
o Must deliver a current servo RF input bandwidth of at least 1 MHz to >1,000 MHz
o Must deliver a current servo input impedance of 1000 Ω
o Must deliver a temperature control setpoint range of at least 10°C to 45°C
o Must deliver a temperature control maximum TEC current of at least 0.75 A
o Must deliver a temperature control maximum TEC voltage of at least 3.5 V
