The U. S. Army Contracting Command, New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 on behalf of Project Manager Towed Artillery Systems (PM TAS) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to procure eighteen (18) LW 155 M777A2 Howitzers from BAE Global Combat Systems LTD APF Building C10 BAE Systems, Barrow-In-Furness, GB United Kingdom. The Justification & Approval (J&A), is currently being staffed, addresses duplication costs and unacceptable delays to the Government. Authority for this procurement comes under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1); Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
