Except as modified or amplified in RFP this item contains class S explosives. DFARS 252.223-7002, Safety Precautions for Ammunition and Explosives applies. Acquisition contains explosive naval Ordance items which require special security, safety and transportation clauses, which may be found in Section I.
Paper copies of the solicitation will not be provided by the Navy. This item is an explosive device. A safety survey will be required. Explosive weight .000250 LBS, Explosive Class 1.4. Production lot testing, first article testing, contractor data requirements list, and FOB origin apply. Note: Certain computer programs may be required to view the solicitation and/or submit electronic offers.

The solicitation will be available not later than 07 NOV 2014.

Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.
