It is the intent of these specifications to purchase for the City Fire
Department one (1) or more 100 (minimum) aerial device that complies with the latest edition
of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. The apparatus shall be engineered for
long life and trouble free service and shall have a front line service life of 12 to 17 years. This
apparatus must perform safely at any hour of the day or night under any weather conditions.
Firefighters in full protective gear must easily operate the apparatus. The safety and reliability of
this equipment is mandatory for the protection of our citizens as well as our employees.
