SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION IN THE FOLLOWING F-35 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, EIELSON AFB, ALASKA - AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL:

1. EIE379 - F-35A HANGAR SQUADRON OPERATIONS AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE UNIT, EIELSON AFB AK
2. EIE393 - F-35 RENOVATE 8-BAY WEATHER SHELTER, EIELSON AFB AK
3. EIE394 - F-35 RENOVATE 4-BAY WEATHER SHELTER, EIELSON AFB AK
4. EIE382 - F-35A WEATHER SHELTER, SQUAD 2, EIELSON AFB AK


The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed items as part of larger construction contracts to be executed on Eielson AFB, Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions."


Item:
1) Det-Tronics Corporation's Model X3301 Multispectrum IR Flame Detectors and controller based system. - Infrared optical flame detection process which is immune to electromagnetic interference from aircraft surveillance and weapons platforms similar to the F-35A aircraft system to prevent false activations and inadvertent discharges of foam



THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as these sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of Projects listed above.


Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria are invited to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information:


(1) Identification of the manufacturer's name, address, and country of product manufacture.
(2) Fully detailed specification sheets.
(3) Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed above.
