The Organization requests proposals from all persons interested in providing web site programming, hosting and design services to efficiently maintain and manage the following web sites.
Services shall include, but not be limited to, the requirements contained in this Request for
Proposals (RFP). The requested services and corresponding deliverables are as follows:
A. Website Migration, Content Management Integration Maintenance and Updates
The awarded firm will work with the organization to migrate the existing website, currently hosted on
Convio servers to a mutually agreed hosting client. The current site consists of 300+ linked
pages. As Convio provides its own content management system for the layperson to edit
content on the site, the organization will need a suitable replacement to that system that will allow
similar access to editors and contributors. The awarded firm will also provide contracted
general site maintenance, updates and design services on an annual basis. Costs relating to
website migration will be considered separately from all annual contracted services.
B. Basic Qualifications- The awarded contractor will have the depth of resources necessary
to provide strategic guidance, creative excellence and technical skills to successfully execute
deliverables with the workload required for updates to the three core sites. This includes, but
is not limited to, advanced HTML edits, ongoing site enhancements, and feature
development.
C. Preferred Experience - The awarded firm will have a successful track record of
designing, developing and maintaining best-in-class websites with well-designed information
architecture and user-friendly design that fulfills client objectives. Broad knowledge of
server and website development languages and rich media applications are required.
Responsiveness to client requests and adherence to timelines are essential. Attention to detail
and quality assurance are imperative. Idea development and generation as well as trouble
shooting and providing solutions are essential as are research and usability testing
capabilities.
D. Site Statistics - The TEDC must be able to have the following web statistics readily
available through private log-in or able to be easily gathered from contractor. TEDC prefers
the integration of Google Analytics to the site. Specific statistics delivered in a manageable
format may be requested on a reoccurring basis.
E. Committed Team – One assigned contact for all project management and technical
disciplines will be the ideal scenario. A dedicated and highly organized team with strong
project management skills is essential.
F. Technical Requirements - Users of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari must be able to
equally access site with very similar experiences in navigating the site. Other technologies
that may be requested include dynamic form building/validation, multimedia/animation,
website tracking and statistics, HTML 5.0 /DHTML, XML, ASP, JavaScript, CSS, SSL,
Flash and mobile technologies.
G. Front-End Requirements - Web content will likely not change dramatically from the
current sites. Some edits to navigation and content placement may be necessary during
migration
